Purple cabbage, protein powder and banana smoothie

I'm really in love with this purple smoothie.
  • 100 g Purple cabbage
  • 100 g Frozen Banana
  • 25 g Protein Powder Whey blueberry flavour
  • 50 g Greek Yogurt 0%
  • 200 g filtered water
  1. Chop the purple cabbage, rinse it thoroughly and drain.
  2. Steam or boil the cabbage till tender and soft.
  3. Let it cool down completely.
  4. In a blender add the cabbage, frozen banana chunks, yogurt and blend adding water little by little.
  5. Blend till smooth.
  6. Add protein powder and stir everything together.
  7. Done.
I tried microwaving the cabbage and it was a mess, because it dries to much, furthermore I prefer a more conservative cooking method in order to preserve all the nutrients.
I used blueberry whey protein powder, but I would go for any other berry based flavour (probably strawberry flv is good as well!).
My 2 cents, I wouldn't try this with chocolate protein powder.
